Ethylene-vinyl acetate (also known as EVA) is the copolymer of ethylene and vinyl acetate. These thermoplastic materials are best known as hot-melt adhesives (HMAs).
The weight percent of vinyl acetate usually varies from 10 to 40%, with the remainder being ethylene. These adhesives are characterised by good adhesion to various substrates and excellent flexibility. However they have poor temperature and creep resistance.
