Cyanoacrylates, also commonly known as super glue, instant glue or power glue, are single component acrylic based adhesives and are characterised by rapid room temperature cure and good tensile properties.

Their applications range from industrial manufacturing to medicine where these adhesives are used for wound closure. Their disadvantages include relatively poor solvent and elevated temperature resistance.
